Applications are invited for one (01) vacancy of the post of Animal Nutritionist in the General Central Service, Group 'A', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial in Level-10 (Rs. 56,100–1,77,500) of the Pay Matrix (7th CPC) on Deputation (Including Short Term Contract) basis in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India.

Eligibility

Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous or Statutory Organisations or Agricultural Universities or Recognised Research Institutions or Councils:

Service Requirements (any one):

1. (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
2. (ii) With two years' service in Level-8 (Rs. 47,600–1,51,100) of Pay Matrix or equivalent; OR
3. (iii) With three years' service in Level-7 (Rs. 44,900–1,42,400) of Pay Matrix or equivalent; AND

Essential Educational Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from a recognized university or institute.
2. Post Graduate Degree in any branch of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry with specialization in Animal Nutrition from a recognized university or institute.

Desirable:

Two years experience in the field of Animal Nutrition and quality control of feed.

Age Limit

Maximum 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Appraise the project proposals received from all states and UTs.
2. Release of funds to state/UTs.
3. Monitor physical progress of the entire project funded by the Government of India.
4. Deal with matters related to RTI Act 2005, Parliament questions, VIP and PMO references related to Feed/Fodder.
5. Keep close liaison with research institutes of ICAR and other research organizations.
6. Deal with matters of Plan Co-ordination, General Co-ordination.
7. Deal with other feed related issues like quality control, incentive and other related support to the feed industry.
8. Any other duties designated by the superiors from time to time.

1. Applications (in triplicate) in the prescribed Bio-Data and CV Proforma along with complete up-to-date photocopies of CR/APAR dossiers (Last five years: 2019-20 to 2023-24).
2. Each page of the photocopy of CR/APAR should be attested by a Group 'A' Officer at the level of Under Secretary or equivalent and above.
3. While forwarding, it must be certified that particulars furnished are correct and no vigilance case is pending/contemplated and integrity is beyond doubt.
4. Statement on imposition of penalty during the last 10 years must be provided.
5. Cadre clearance certificate must be forwarded.
6. Applications should reach through proper channel within 45 days from publication in Employment News (last date extended vide letter dated 17.08.2026).

• The appointment will be governed by DoP&T O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.06.2010.
