Central University of Tamil Nadu – Engagement of Guest Faculty (Physics)
Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) invites applications for the Guest Faculty in the Department of Physics (Advertisement No. CUTN/GF/02/2026, dated 01-10-2026).

Eligibility
- A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
- Candidate must have cleared the NET conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC, OR holds a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 - such candidates are exempted from NET.
- Qualification for Guest Faculty shall be at par with the minimum qualification for Assistant Professors in Universities as per UGC Regulations, 2018.
- Superannuated teachers may also be considered for engagement as Guest Faculty, subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
Honorarium & Tenure
- Honorarium of Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month.
- Engagement is purely temporary for a period of one semester / six months.
- Services may be terminated without notice if found unsatisfactory; no claim of any permanent position under any circumstances.
- Guest faculty shall not be given the benefit of allowances, pension, gratuity and leave etc. admissible to regular teachers.
