Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking and a Group Company of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., has invited online applications for 60 Non-Executive Junior Engineering Assistant-IV (JEA-IV) posts in the Production, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines under Advertisement No. 01 of 2026 (CPCL/HRD:03:055), dated 14.08.2026. Opportunity for Women: Owing to hazardous refinery operations and shift-based work requirements, women candidates are not currently considered for Production vacancies (CPCL01) or any cadre requiring shift operations. All qualifications must be from a University/Institution/Board recognized by the Government of India. A Diploma via a recognized lateral entry scheme (Class-XII (Sc)/ITI admitted to 2nd year) is also eligible, subject to the prescribed percentage on the aggregate of 4 semesters. Higher professional qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, or MCA make a candidate ineligible; possession of such qualification at the time of joining can lead to cancellation of the offer.

Pay Scale and Service Conditions
Post is in the Non-Supervisory Cadre, Grade IV with an IDA pay scale of Rs. 25,000 - Rs. 1,05,000 and a starting basic pay of Rs. 25,000 (no pay protection admissible). Other benefits include DA, HRA/Self-Lease, PF, Gratuity, LTC/LFA, Medical reimbursement, and Superannuation benefits as per Corporation rules.
Selection Process
Selection comprises a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by Document Verification of shortlisted candidates, and a qualifying Skill, Proficiency and/or Physical Test (SPPT).

- Objective, multiple-choice questions; total CBT duration 2 hours.
- Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% in CBT for General/OBC/EWS; relaxed by 5% (i.e., 35%) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
- Candidates are shortlisted for SPPT in a ratio of approximately 1:3 (three candidates per post).
- SPPT is of a qualifying nature and does not carry marks toward merit.
- Final selection is subject to being found medically fit.
