The Superintendent of Police, District Bastar (Chhattisgarh) has invited applications for recruitment to 79 posts of Bastar Fighter Constable (Bastar Fighter Arakshak) under the Chhattisgarh Police Special Executive Force (Bastar Fighters) Recruitment and Service Rules, 2026, notified by Home Department notification No. ESTB-1/762/2025-HOME SECTION dated 31.08.2026.
Only local residents of Bastar district are eligible. A residence certificate issued by the competent authority must be attached; applications from other districts will not be considered.

The number of posts and the pay scale may be increased or decreased as per directions issued from time to time by the State Government and Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
Reservation
- 10% horizontal reservation for ex-servicemen.
- 30% of direct recruitment posts reserved horizontally for local women of the district under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Special Provision for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997.
- 25% horizontal reservation for Home Guards (Nagar Sainik).

Selection process

| Physical Efficiency Test | 100 marks: long jump, high jump, shot put, 100 m run and 800 m run, 20 marks each. Only one attempt per event. UR candidates need 60% and SC/ST/OBC candidates 50%. |
| Written examination | 50 marks, objective type: general knowledge, reasoning, analytical ability, local geographical structure, culture, tradition, social values and arithmetic. Candidates up to 15 times the number of posts are called. |

| Bonus marks | 30 marks: heavy motor vehicle driving licence (5), NCC 'C' or NSS 'C' certificate (5), knowledge of the local dialect (20). |
