Office of the Superintendent of Police, Sukma Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Only local residents of Sukma district may apply; residence certificate from the competent authority is required.
- Age: not less than 18 years and not more than 28 years as on 01.01.2026.
- Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class candidates.
- Upper age limit relaxed by 10 years for local women candidates of Sukma district under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Special Provision for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997.
- Permanent State Government servants may be considered up to 36 years, and temporary post holders up to 36 years, subject to the conditions in the advertisement. Retrenched Government servants may deduct up to 7 years of temporary service from their age, but the resulting age may not exceed the upper limit by more than three years.
- Physical standards (height): 163 cm or more for Unreserved, Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class male candidates; 150 cm or more for Scheduled Tribe male candidates; 153 cm or more for Unreserved, SC and OBC female candidates; 148 cm or more for Scheduled Tribe female candidates.
- Chest: 79 cm unexpanded and 84 cm expanded (Scheduled Tribe: 74 cm and 79 cm). A minimum expansion of 5 cm is compulsory for all categories. Female candidates are exempt from the chest measurement.
- Candidates must not be physically disabled, must not have knock-knees or flat feet, must be medically fit, must be free of eye disease and must be able to distinguish primary colours. Transgender candidates are measured against the standards of the gender recorded in their certificate.

Selection runs in stages: scrutiny of documents and physical measurement, then the Physical Efficiency Test, written examination and interview, with a separate date notified for each stage. Selection scheme and marks
- Physical Efficiency Test - 100 marks: long jump, high jump, shot put, 100 metre run and 800 metre run, 20 marks each. Only one attempt is given for every event. Unreserved candidates must score 60% and SC/ST/OBC candidates 50%. Participation in all events is compulsory; a candidate dissatisfied with the assessment may appeal before the selection committee, whose decision is final.
- Written examination - 50 marks: objective type, covering general knowledge, reasoning ability, analytical ability, local geographical structure, culture, tradition, social values and arithmetic. Candidates up to 15 times the number of advertised posts are called, and all candidates securing the common cut-off are admitted.
- Interview - 20 marks: candidates up to 3 times the number of posts are called.
- Bonus marks - 30 marks: heavy motor vehicle driving licence (5), NCC 'C' certificate or NSS 'C' certificate (5), and knowledge of the local dialect of the district (20). The relevant certificates must be held on or before the last date for submission of the application.
