CERC Recruitment 2026 – Deputation / Short Term Contract (Legal Posts)
Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament, invites applications for the following posts to be filled up by deputation (Foreign Service terms) / short term contract basis from officers of Central/State Governments, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies etc. (Vacancy Notice No. ADMN-12012/1/2019-CERC dated 24.08.2026).

Eligibility (as per Annexure-I)
Officers of the Central Government (also open to State Government/PSU/Autonomous Bodies):
- Joint Chief (Legal): Holding analogous post OR 3 years regular service in Level-12 OR 8 years regular service in Level-11 of pay matrix; preferably with specialization in Regulations/Master Degree in Law; experience in judicial/quasi-judicial legal matters.
- Deputy Chief (Legal): Holding analogous post OR 3 years regular service in Level-11 OR 7 years combined regular service in Level-10; preferably with specialization in Regulations/Master Degree in Law; experience in judicial/quasi-judicial legal matters.
- Assistant Chief (Legal): Holding analogous post OR 4 years regular service in Level-10 OR 5 years combined regular service in Level-08 OR 6 years regular service in Level-07; preferably with specialization in Regulations/Master Degree in Law; experience in judicial/quasi-judicial legal matters.
- Bench Officer: Same eligibility as Assistant Chief (Legal); experience in judicial/quasi-judicial/legal matters.
Benefits
DA, HRA and Transport Allowance as applicable to Central Government officials; leased accommodation (up to two times HRA) as per CERC (Leased Accommodation) Regulations, 2007; medical facilities as per CERC Regulations, 2005; Deputation (Duty) Allowance, Leave Salary Contribution, Pension/NPS/CPF/EPF contribution as applicable.
