Job Opportunity: Research Assistant at the Centre for Economic Data and Analysis (CEDA), Ashoka University

The Centre for Economic Data and Analysis (CEDA) at Ashoka University is inviting applications for the position of Research Assistant for a project titled “Can AI Improve Workplace Conditions?”

This exciting project explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools can help improve workplace conditions in large firms across India. The role involves conducting surveys and experiments to understand how technology can enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity.

About the Role

The selected candidate will work closely with the research team on data-driven analysis, field research, and project management. This position offers excellent exposure to applied microeconomics, development research, and policy analysis.

The Research Assistant will be responsible for:

• Designing and conducting field surveys
• Managing and analyzing datasets
• Coordinating with project partners and stakeholders
• Supporting research documentation and report preparation

Position Details

• Type of Position: Full-time
• Location: Delhi (with travel to Jaipur)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6–12 months

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related fields
• Prior experience in data collection, survey management, or field coordination preferred
• Proficiency in STATA and LaTeX (familiarity with SurveyCTO or Qualtrics is an advantage)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Willingness to travel for extended periods to Jaipur for fieldwork and stakeholder meetings
