Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani – Hyderabad Campus invites applications for one Research Assistant position under an NFSG-funded research project on gender representation in mid-twentieth-century South Asia.

Project Title
Progressive Writer’s Movement and the Politics of Gender in Mid-Twentieth Century South Asia

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to:
Conduct qualitative data collection
Undertake extensive literature reviews
Support library and archival research
Prepare reports and research documentation
Assist in digital repository development
Work independently under the guidance of the Principal Investigator
Travel for project-related data collection, where required
Contribute to research dissemination and scholarly outputs
Essential Qualifications
Applicants should have:
Strong knowledge of qualitative research methods
Experience in literary and cultural studies
Skills in library and archival research
Ability to conduct extensive literature reviews and critical analysis
Willingness to undertake fieldwork
Strong academic writing and research skills
Interest in regional languages and bhasha literature
Experience in academic networking, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and scholarly presentation will be desirable.
Fellowship
The selected candidate will receive:
INR 38,500–INR 45,000 per month
The final amount will depend on relevant research experience.
Additional Opportunity
The selected candidate may also be considered for a PhD in Comparative Literature, subject to availability and applicable institute requirements.
