Post-wise Essential Qualifications & Experience
- 1. Assistant Professor (PMR): MBBS; PG Degree/Diploma in PMR/Pediatrics recognized by MCI/RCI; Registration with MCI; minimum 2 years experience in teaching or research in related field. Desirable: Ph.D. in rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.
- 2. Assistant Professor (Audiology): M.Sc (Sp & Hg)/M.ASLP or equivalent/M.Sc (Audiology); 2 years teaching/clinical/research experience. Desirable: Ph.D (core area), publications.
- 3. Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychology): M.Phil in Clinical or Rehabilitation Psychology (full-time course, recognized by RCI); minimum 5 years experience in teaching/research in related field. Desirable: Ph.D. in related field.
- 4. Lecturer (Education): Master Degree in any subject and M.Ed (HI) with not less than 55% marks or equivalent Grade B in seven-point scale, OR an equivalent degree recognized by RCI, New Delhi. Desirable: Ph.D. on relevant topic, 3 years teaching/research experience.
- 5. Lecturer (Audio/Speech Pathology): M.Sc in Speech & Hearing; 2 years experience. Desirable: Ph.D. and teaching/research experience.
- 6. Lecturer (Occupational Therapy): Master of Occupational Therapy from a recognized Institute (full time); minimum 3 years experience in teaching/research in the field of rehabilitation. Desirable: any RCI recognized qualification.

- 9. Audiologist & Speech Language Pathologist (Grade I): M.Sc (Sp & Hg)/M.ASLP or equivalent/M.Sc (Audiology)/M.Sc (SLP). Desirable: 1 year experience in the field.

- 13. Plumber-Cum-Pump Operator: 2 years ITI course (Govt. Recognized); minimum 2 years experience of execution of plumbing work and maintenance & repairs.

Administrative & Accounts Officer: A retired Group A employee of Central Government/State Government/PSU/Autonomous Body with considerable experience of functioning of Central Government Ministries/Departments; effective communication and interpersonal skills with strong flair for policy matters/administration/finance.
- 15. Ear Mould Technician: S.S.C. with certificate in Dental Mechanics with 5 years experience in making prosthesis for Denture Speech Bulb, Maxillectomy prosthesis and Ear Mould.
- 16. PA to Director: Degree of a recognized university or equivalent with shorthand speed of 120 w.p.m. and typing speed of 40 w.p.m.
- 17. Teacher (Education): Post Graduate with Diploma/Certificate in Special Education for the deaf with 5 years experience OR Graduate with Diploma/Certificate in Special Education for the Deaf with 7 years experience as Teacher of the Deaf.
- 18. Sr. Consultant: Any Master Degree from a recognized University/Institute; 5 years experience as Assistant Controller of Examination in administration and conducting examinations in Universities/Institutes with knowledge of rules and procedures of conducting examination. Desirable: computer skills including MS Office.
- 19. Jr. Consultant: B.Tech (Computer/Science) from a recognized University/Institute; 3 years experience in office management and Excel. Desirable: computer skills including MS Office.
- 20. Consultant: Any Master Degree/B.Tech (Computer Science) from a recognized University/Institute; 3 years experience in conducting examinations in Universities/recognized educational institutions or retired from University/Institution/organizations having experience in conduct of examination. - 32. Social Worker: M.A (Social Work) or Graduate with DCBR/DVR (ID), with a minimum of 2 years relevant post-qualification experience.
- 33. Data Entry Operator: Graduate with knowledge of computer.
General Conditions
- The application must be submitted in the prescribed format, duly signed, with self-attested photocopies of mark sheets/certificates/proof of age, experience/CRR No. and other relevant documents. It must reach the Director, Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), K.C. Marg, Bandra Reclamation, Bandra (W), Mumbai - 400050 within 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News, through Registered/Speed Post/Courier.
- A Demand Draft (non-refundable) of Rs. 300/- per post/per person, drawn in favour of the Director, AYJNISHD(D), payable at Mumbai, must be submitted with the application. A separate application must be submitted for each post.
- Candidates must possess a valid CRR Registration Number of RCI, New Delhi, or equivalent registration as on the last date for submission of application, wherever applicable.
- The term of appointment shall ordinarily be for an initial period not exceeding 3 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years (extension beyond 3 years requires approval of the Governing Council/Executive Council).
