- Technical qualification: valid four-wheeler Driving Licence (LMV/HMV) of at least 3 years standing

The Office of the Commissioner of Police, Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate, West Bengal has invited applications for engagement of 15 (fifteen) Drivers on a contractual basis for a period of one year, vide Employment (Temporary Basis) Notice No. 2242-E dated 17.10.2026, issued under G.O. No. 2980-PL dated 30.09.2026 of the Home & Hill Affairs Department.
- Post: Driver (contractual basis) — 15 posts
- Consolidated remuneration: ₹16,000/- per month, subject to statutory deductions
- Tenure: 1 year from the date of execution of the contract; renewal subject to satisfactory performance
- Selection: Driving Test (20 marks) + Interview (20 marks), total 40 marks; merit list published on the West Bengal Police website (https://wbpolice.gov.in/) and displayed outside the unit notice board
- Medical examination and police verification of antecedents are part of the process
