AP High Court Civil Judge (Senior Division) LDCE 2026 (R.O.C. No. 366/2026-RC, dated 17.09.2026)
Applications are invited for 16 vacancies of Civil Judge (Senior Division) by accelerated promotion through a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) from Civil Judges (Junior Division) of the A.P. State Judicial Service. Pay scale: Rs.111000–163030. AP State Judicial (Service & Cadre) Rules, 2026 apply. The High Court may increase/decrease/cancel vacancies at any stage.
Eligibility
- Service: Not less than 3 years as Civil Judge (Junior Division) by 31.03.2026 in AP State Judicial Service.
- Barred: Officers facing disciplinary charges/undergoing punishment, or of doubtful integrity in any year.
- Reservation: SC/ST vertical reservation per AP Judicial Service Rules 2026 r/w G.O.Ms.No.77/2023 & 46/2025.
Selection
- Screening (if held): 100 MCQ (100 marks, 2 hrs); 40%+ shortlisted 1:10 for written (marks not counted for merit).
- Written: Paper-I Civil Laws + Paper-II Criminal Laws (100 marks each, 3 hrs, English); Paper-III English translation & essay (40+60, qualifying 40% each part, not counted for viva/selection).
- Viva voce: 50 marks; need 55%+ in Paper-I & II and 60% aggregate for viva; 60% aggregate (written+viva) for selection.

Submit the proforma application with enclosures (date-of-birth/SSC, law degree, community certificate, service certificate, appointment order, hall-ticket-cum-identity card original+duplicate) in the office of the Principal District Judge concerned by 5:00 PM on 01.10.2026. Late/unsigned/incomplete applications rejected. Fee: Rs.1000 (OC/EWS/BC) / Rs.500 (SC/ST/PwBD) by Demand Draft favouring “Registrar (Recruitment), High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Nelapadu, Amaravati”.
