Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), Sri Vijaya Puram, invites applications from eligible employees of the Central Government/State Governments/Union Territory Administrations/Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Organizations/Public Sector Undertakings for the post of Librarian on Deputation Basis initially for a period of 02 years and extendable in accordance with DoPT instructions.

Vacancy Details

Qualification

• Essential: M.Sc. Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Service from a recognized University/Institute; Degree/Diploma in Computer from a recognized institute; 5 years experience in a library of reputed institution, preferably in a Medical College.
• Desirable: M.Phil/Ph.D in Library Science/Information Science and Documentation; One year professional experience in indexing work of health services literature.

Eligibility (Deputation)

Officers of the Central/State/UT Government/Universities/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies or Research and Development Organizations:

• Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department (Pay Level 10), OR
• With 02 years regular service in Pay Level 09, OR
• With 04 years regular service in Pay Level 08.

Age Limit

Not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

2. Applications must be forwarded through proper channel along with: Present Pay certificate, Details of experience, Copies of APARs for the last 5 years, Vigilance Clearance certificate, Cadre Clearance Certificate, Integrity certificate, Statement of Major/Minor Penalties (if any) during the last 10 years, and No Objection Certificate from the Cadre Controlling Authority.
3. Completed applications must reach the Recruitment Cell, ANIIMS, New Campus, Corbyn Cove, Sri Vijaya Puram by 20 July 2026.
4. Applications received after the closing date or without requisite documents shall not be considered.

Terms and Conditions

• The selected employee shall have the option to draw pay in the parent cadre plus deputation (duty) allowance OR have pay fixed in the post per Government of India instructions.
• The Institute reserves the right to cancel the vacancy circular at any stage without assigning any reason.
