The Faculty of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh invites online applications from Indian nationals (including OCI cardholders under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955) for recruitment to 2 temporary Senior Resident posts. Local Advertisement No. FM/39/2026, dated 15.10.2026. Appointments are purely temporary, terminable at any time without notice or assignment of reason.

Eligibility

• Qualification: As per NMC norms / Residency Scheme adopted by AMU (MBBS with PG degree in the concerned subject and valid NMC registration).
• Candidates must report with all original documents in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, AMU, Aligarh, half an hour before the scheduled LSC time.
• No separate notice/interview letter will be issued to the candidates.

Pay

Senior Resident — Pay Level AL-11 plus admissible allowances as per University rules.

Application Fee

Non-refundable processing fee Rs.500/- per application (separate form for each post), payable online only at the Careers Portal. PwD candidates are exempted on uploading a valid disability certificate on the prescribed proforma.

How to Apply

1. Fill the application online (separate form for each post) at the AMU Careers Portal https://careers.amuonline.ac.in and pay the fee online.
2. Take a printout of the submitted PDF form, sign it, paste a recent front-facing photograph and attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents.
3. Send the hard copy by post, super-scribing the post applied for, advertisement number and date on the top-left of the cover, to: The Office of the Dean, J.N. Medical College, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh – 202002, to reach on or before 02.11.2026 (04:00 PM).
4. Enclose self-attested copies of: High School certificate, Graduation & PG mark-sheets/degrees, NET/JRF/SLET/CSIR certificate (as applicable), M.Phil/Ph.D. (if any), experience certificates, internship completion certificate, valid NMC registration of Graduation & Post-graduation, and No Objection Certificate (if employed). Bring originals for verification at the interview.

Incomplete applications, applications on plain paper, and applications received late or without the requisite documents will be summarily rejected. The University is not responsible for postal delay.
