The Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) invites online applications for the temporary appointment of one Guest Teacher for the academic session 2026–2027.

Honorarium
The selected candidate will receive ₹1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum payment of ₹50,000 per month.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must meet either of the following eligibility conditions:
Eligibility A
A master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in the relevant, concerned or allied subject from a recognised Indian university or an equivalent qualification from an accredited foreign university.
Candidates must have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, SLET or SET, or possess a PhD awarded in accordance with applicable UGC regulations.
Candidates registered for a PhD before 11 July 2009 may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET, subject to fulfilment of the conditions prescribed in the notification.

A PhD obtained from a foreign university or institution ranked among the world’s top 500 by any of the following:
