The selected candidate will receive:
INR 1,500 per lecture
Maximum remuneration of INR 50,000 per month
Payment will be governed by the applicable university rules
Candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
A master’s degree in Geography with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognised Indian university.
Candidates holding an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university are also eligible.
Candidates must have cleared NET conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or an accredited SLET/SET examination.
Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET requirements in accordance with the applicable UGC regulations. Candidates registered for a Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 will be considered under the rules and regulations of the institution that awarded the degree, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed conditions.
The appointment is strictly temporary and will continue until the end of the academic session 2026–27 or until the General Selection Committee is held, whichever is earlier.
The university reserves the right to terminate the appointment at any time without notice or assigning any reason.
