AIIMS Patna Senior Resident (Adhoc) Walk-in 2026 – 68 Posts | Interviews on 05, 12, 19 & 26 Sep

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna – an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India – invites applications from eligible Indian citizens, as per the Govt. of India's Residency Scheme, for the post of Senior Resident (Adhoc) for a period of 89 days or until the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.

Department-wise Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Prescribed postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty/discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
• Registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council, wherever applicable.
• Must fulfil all eligibility conditions as per the applicable Residency Scheme.
• Candidates must pass the qualifying examination by 31 July 2026.
• Candidates employed in Govt/Autonomous Institutions must produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview/joining.

Pay & Allowances

Senior Resident will receive salary plus allowances as per 7th CPC (Level-11 of the matrix, pre-revised PB-3) – entry pay Rs. 67,700/- per month + NPA + other allowances as admissible under Govt. of India rules.

Walk-in Interview (Rolling)

Candidates must report within the prescribed reporting time for registration and document verification. No candidate will be allowed to appear after the stipulated reporting time.

Selection Procedure

1. Verification of eligibility and original documents.
2. Selection based on performance in the walk-in-interview, subject to eligibility, document verification and reservation rules.
3. Tie-breaker: In case of equal marks, the older candidate (earlier date of birth) shall be placed higher in merit.

Documents Required at Interview (Original + 1 set self-attested photocopies)

1. Duly filled application form
2. Recent passport-size photographs
3. Proof of date of birth
4. Valid photo identity proof
5. Class 10th & 12th certificates and mark sheets
6. MBBS/BDS/M.Sc. degree and mark sheets, as applicable
7. Postgraduate degree/diploma/DNB/DM/M.Ch./Ph.D. certificates, as applicable
8. Valid registration certificate with NMC/State Medical Council
9. Internship/experience certificates, if applicable
10. Caste/Category certificate in prescribed format, wherever applicable
11. Valid OBC (NCL) / EWS certificate (FY 2026-27), wherever applicable
12. PwBD certificate, wherever applicable
13. No Objection Certificate (NOC), if employed in Govt/Autonomous Institution
14. Publications and other relevant documents, if any

Important Notes

• Engagement is purely contractual/temporary (89 days) and confers no right to regular appointment.
• Appointment is full-time; private practice of any kind is not permitted.
• No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
• Appointment subject to medical fitness as certified by the Medical Board of AIIMS Patna.
• All disputes subject to jurisdiction of courts at Patna, Bihar.
