AIIMS Nagpur Project Technical Support-1 (Lab Technician) – NIPT Sickle Cell Project 2026 – 01 Post
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur, Department of Pathology invites applications for the Project Technical Support-1 position under an ICMR/DHR sponsored project titled “Development and validation of NIPT for sickle cell disorder at tertiary care centre in central India – Cross sectional diagnostic accuracy study”. The position is to be filled purely on a temporary basis at AIIMS Nagpur. Dated 19/08/2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Essential Qualification: 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT/ITI or equivalent) + Two years experience in relevant subject/field OR Three-year Graduate degree in relevant subject/field + One year experience in relevant subject.
- Essential: BSc MLT.
- Desirable: 2 years of experience of working in Molecular Pathology laboratory setting and wet lab of Sanger and NGS assays.
Terms & Conditions
- Duration of first appointment will be for 12 months. The contract will be renewed based on performance evaluation by the project investigator with the approval of the Director.
- The posts are purely on a contract basis for an external sponsored project, and no claim for any other regular post in AIIMS Nagpur shall be entertained.
- Validity of the short list will be for one year from the date of publication of the result.
- Selected candidate will have to be stationed at the Institute or travel for training in NIPT with PI.
- Consolidated salary of the post may vary from time to time. No other allowances/facilities other than consolidated salary shall be extended.
- If the performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory, appointment will be terminated.
- The appointee will have to join duties within 15 days of receiving appointment letter.
- On the day of interview, written test (MCQ based) with subsequent skill assessment may be conducted for screening.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test, skill assessment and interview.
- Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
