AIIMS Nagpur Project Office Helper (Project Support Staff-I) Recruitment 2026 – 01 Post
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur invites applications for one contractual post of Project Office Helper (Project Support Staff-I) under the Department of Pathology, AIIMS Nagpur, for the ICMR-funded multicentric research project — “Development of AI Image Binary Classification Algorithm and Validation of Bioimpedance Device to Classify Oral Lesions: A Multicentric Study”. Ref. No.: AIIMS/NGP/Pathology/Rec/2026/PSS-I-01, dated 21.08.2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential: 12th Pass (Matriculation/High School) from a recognised Board.
- Desirable: Three-year Bachelor''s Degree from a recognised University in any discipline; Experience in hospital/research/community health project, patient registration, documentation or office assistance; Ability to communicate in Marathi and Hindi; basic English desirable.
- Note: These are the minimum qualifications applicable. Candidates with higher qualifications may also apply; however, remuneration will be as per ICMR Project Support Staff-I norms.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in identification and recruitment of eligible participants from ENT/Dental/Surgical Oncology OPD after permission from the treating clinician.
- Explain the study objectives and procedures in Marathi/Hindi using the IEC-approved Participant Information Sheet.
- Assist the research team in obtaining written informed consent from participants before enrolment under the supervision of the Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator.
- Maintain confidentiality of participant information and informed consent documents.
- Assist in patient registration, enrolment, scheduling and follow-up.
- Coordinate AI image capture and bioimpedance measurement of enrolled participants.
- Maintain screening, enrolment, consent and project registers.
- Photocopying, scanning, printing, filing and maintaining research records.
- Assist in inventory management, transportation and maintenance of project equipment and consumables.
- Perform any other project-related work assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Duration of Appointment & Place of Posting
- Initially 11 months, extendable up to completion of the project, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
- Place of Posting: Department of Pathology, AIIMS Nagpur and designated study sites within Nagpur district.
Terms and Conditions
- This post is a tenure position for a fixed duration under an ICMR-funded research project; it is not a regular post under AIIMS Nagpur or ICMR.
- The selected candidate cannot claim permanent employment at AIIMS Nagpur or ICMR.
- The appointment is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project.
- If the candidate wishes to resign, a 30-day notice period must be given.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Apart from the consolidated salary, no other allowances will be admissible.
- The candidate should be willing to travel to rural and urban study sites within Nagpur district whenever required.
- The selected candidate will receive orientation/training in ICMR National Ethical Guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), informed consent procedures, confidentiality and study documentation before field work.
