The Department of Neonatology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur invites applications for posts on a purely temporary/contractual basis under the ICMR-funded research project: “Effect of physiological (post-placental delivery) versus one-minute based delayed cord clamping on neurodevelopmental status among infants ≥35 weeks born vaginally: An open label randomized controlled trial.” Advt No. AIIMS/JDH/NEO/2026/07/537, dated 24/07/2026. Principal Investigator: Dr. Neeraj Gupta, Professor & Head, Dept. of Neonatology, AIIMS Jodhpur. Recruitment for AIIMS, Jodhpur only (multicentre project of 4 sites).

1. Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) – 1 Post
- Essential (any):
- MBBS / BVSc / BDS with three years' experience; OR
- MBBS / BVSc / BDS with MPH / PhD; OR
- MBBS / BVSc / BDS + Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees).
- Upper Age Limit: 40 years.
- Job: Coordinate & supervise overall conduct of the multicentric RCT — participant recruitment, intervention implementation, follow-up, protocol compliance, clinical oversight of neonatal assessments & developmental follow-up; oversee study staff, ensure data quality & regulatory compliance, coordinate collaborating centres, prepare study reports/regulatory submissions/scientific publications. Requires periodic visits to other research sites (TA/DA separate).
2. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) – 1 Post
- Essential (any):
- First Class Postgraduate Degree (incl. integrated PG) in Pediatrics, Neonatology, Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Clinical Research, Psychology, Allied Health Sciences from a recognized university; OR
- Second Class Postgraduate Degree (incl. integrated PG) in the above disciplines with Ph.D. from a recognized university.
- Upper Age Limit: 40 years (as per general terms).
- Job: Support research nurses in recruitment of study subjects & data collection; ensure data accuracy & completion; enter data into database; manage record keeping; support project office operations/typing; keep updated project reports. May need to visit other research sites (TA/DA separate).
Tenure
Project duration: three years. Recruitment initially for 6 months, extendable every 3–6 months based on work performance.

- Posts purely temporary, co-terminus with project; no right to permanent employment at AIIMS Jodhpur.
- Candidates in Govt./PSU must produce NOC at interview.
- No TA/DA for appearing in interview.
- Full-time qualifications from recognized Board/University required; experience counted till last date of advertisement.
- Submit filled application in prescribed format + Bio-data on walk-in day, with all original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies (age, qualifications, experience).
- Competent Authority may conduct Screening/Scrutiny Test depending on number of applicants.
