The Department of Neonatology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur invites applications for posts on a purely temporary/contractual basis under the ICMR-funded research project: “Effect of physiological (post-placental delivery) versus one-minute based delayed cord clamping on neurodevelopmental status among infants ≥35 weeks born vaginally: An open label randomized controlled trial.” Advt No. AIIMS/JDH/NEO/2026/07/538, dated 24/07/2026. Principal Investigator: Dr. Neeraj Gupta, Professor & Head, Dept. of Neonatology, AIIMS Jodhpur. This recruitment is for AIIMS, Jodhpur only (multicentre project of 4 sites).

1. Project Technical Support-II (1 Post)
- Essential: Three-year graduate degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing) or Allied Health Sciences from recognized university, WITH 3 years post-qualification experience in clinical research, multicentric research projects, neonatal/pediatric care, public health research or related field; OR Postgraduate degree in above disciplines.
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
- Job: Overall supervision of Nursing officers' work, cross-check CRF data, participant tracking, study coordination, maintain project records, data entry, data verification, QC, inventory, communication with collaborating centres.
2. Project Nurse-I – Recruitment (6 Posts)
- Essential: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery; Registration with State/Indian Nursing Council.
- Desirable: B.Sc. Nursing with experience in labour room, maternity ward, neonatal care, clinical research.
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
- Job: Screening/recruiting eligible mother-infant dyads from labour room & maternity wards, obtain informed consent, maintain records, coordinate with obstetric & neonatal teams; rotational/night shift duties.
3. Project Nurse-III – Follow-up (1 Post)
- Essential: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery; Registration with State/Indian Nursing Council.
- Desirable: B.Sc. Nursing with experience in labour room, maternity ward, neonatal care, clinical research.
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
- Job: Coordinate participant follow-up visits, maintain schedules, ensure retention till 18 months of age, collect growth/developmental/outcome data, communicate with families.
Tenure
Project duration: 33 months (Project Technical Support), 12 months (Project Nurse, six posts – birth recruitment), 30 months (Project Nurse – follow-up, one post). Recruitment initially for 6 months, extendable every 3–6 months based on work performance.

- Date: 10th August 2026 (as per post)
- Reporting time: 9:00 AM; closing time to report: 10:00 AM (after which no candidates entertained).
- Venue: Model Early Intervention Centre (MEIC), Second Floor, OPD Building, AIIMS Jodhpur, Basni Phase-2, Jodhpur-342005.
General Terms & Conditions
- Posts purely temporary, co-terminus with project; no right to permanent employment at AIIMS Jodhpur.
- Candidates in Govt./PSU must produce NOC at interview.
- No TA/DA for appearing in interview.
- Full-time qualifications from recognized Board/University required.
- Submit filled application in prescribed format + Bio-data on the day of walk-in interview, with all original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies (age, qualifications, experience).
- Competent Authority may conduct Screening/Scrutiny Test depending on number of applicants.
