AAU Chief Scientist Recruitment 2026 - 7 Posts (Advt. 3/2026)

Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat has released Advertisement No. 3/2026 for the recruitment of Chief Scientist at various research stations and institutes under the university. This is a prestigious tenure-based position for a period of 5 years or until superannuation, whichever is earlier. The recruitment is for 7 (seven) posts across different locations in Assam.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture / Sericulture / Horticulture / Agricultural Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Master's degree (M.Sc./M.Tech) in the relevant subject with minimum 55% marks or 3.00 CGPA on a 4-point/10-point scale.
• Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in the relevant subject from a recognized university.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of post-Ph.D. research and/or teaching experience in the relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience as Associate Professor or equivalent position.

Publication & API Requirements:

• Minimum 10 research publications in refereed/peer-reviewed journals.
• Academic Performance Indicator (API) score as per UGC/ICAR norms:
  • General/OBC: Minimum 45 out of 65 points
  • ST/SC: Minimum 42 out of 65 points

Selection Process
