Online applications are invited for Lab Technician posts on a purely temporary contractual basis for the Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU).

Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

Option I:

• B.Sc in Life Sciences OR Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)
• 1 year working experience in a clinical or research laboratory

Option II:

• Class 12 pass in Science stream
• 2-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
• 2 years working experience in a clinical or research laboratory

Desirable Experience

• Minimum 3 years of work experience after acquiring essential qualification
• Laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques
• Experience in immunology
• Experience in cell-culture biology
• Knowledge of computer applications

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in research work including sample collection & processing
• Maintain laboratory equipment
• Maintain research records & laboratory upkeep
• Coordinate with MRU & associated departments
• Carry out work assigned by the Nodal Officer
• Undertake field visits, training or laboratory visits when required

Contract Duration

Initial appointment: 6 months (purely temporary contractual).
Extension based on performance & project requirements.
No right to claim permanent employment or regularisation.
