CAPF AC 2025 – Result Timeline

The CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination is an annual paramilitary recruitment conducted by UPSC on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs. CAPF AC 2025 Cut-off Marks – Category-wise Details

The CAPF AC written exam has two papers: Paper I (General Ability & Intelligence, 250 marks, objective) and Paper II (General Studies, Essay and Comprehension, 200 marks, descriptive). UPSC does not simply evaluate on the total; candidates must clear Paper I, and Paper II is evaluated only for those who clear Paper I. Minimum qualifying marks are fixed category-wise (General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwBD), and the written cut-off also governs who is called to the next stage.

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standards Test are of a qualifying nature and carry no marks. Candidates who clear the written stage and pass the physical/medical tests attend the Interview/Personality Test (150 marks). The final merit list is prepared from the written marks (450) + Interview marks (150), and the final category-wise cut-off is decided based on the number of vacancies in each armed force and each category. Separate category cut-offs apply for male and female candidates where prescribed. Selection Process and Next Stages After the Written Result

The CAPF AC selection has four stages. Stage 1 is the written exam (Paper I and Paper II). Stage 2 is the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test: candidates must meet the prescribed height, chest and weight norms (with relaxations for female candidates and certain categories), and then complete the PET (running, long jump etc. as prescribed). Medicals are done by the Medical Board of the paramilitary forces, and candidates found unfit may approach the Appellate Medical Board as per rules.

Stage 3 is the Interview/Personality Test of 150 marks conducted by a UPSC board.
