The Staff Selection Commission conducted the SSC CGL 2025 Tier I computer based examination from 12 September to 26 September 2025 in multiple shifts across examination centres in India and abroad. - Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission at ssc.gov.in.
- On the home page, move to the Result section (or open ssc.gov.in/result directly).

Category-wise SSC CGL Cut Off
SSC publishes the category-wise cut-off marks along with every tier result notice. The cut-off is the minimum normalised score a candidate must secure to qualify for the next stage. It is decided after considering the total vacancies, number of appeared candidates, difficulty level of shifts (adjusted through normalisation), and reservation policy of the Government of India. Separate cut-offs are announced for UR, OBC, EWS, SC, ST and sometimes for PwBD and other special categories. Selection Process and Next Stages After CGL Result
The SSC CGL selection is completed in the following stages:
- Tier I CBT: 100 questions of 2 marks each covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Qualifying only for Tier II eligibility in most posts; marks are also counted for specific posts as notified.
- Tier II CBT: Paper-I is compulsory for all posts and includes sections with modules on subjects plus a Computer Knowledge module; a Data Entry Speed Test module is prescribed for Tax Assistant posts. Paper-II (Statistics / General Statistics) applies only to Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator posts.
- Document Verification: Candidates who figure in the final merit list are called for document verification by the concerned user department. Original educational certificates, category certificate, age proof and other documents listed in the call letter are examined.
- Appointment: After successful verification and medical fitness where applicable, the department issues the appointment letter and posting is made as per the post-preference exercised by the candidate and the final rank.
Candidates qualifying Tier I but not appearing in Tier II are not considered for final selection. Vacancies remaining unfilled in any category may be adjusted as per government rules, and a reserve list may be prepared to fill any vacancy arising up to a prescribed period after the declaration of the final result.
