How to Check the RRB ALP Result & Download Scorecard
Like every RRB recruitment, the ALP result and scorecard are published on the official website of the RRB under which you applied. Follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of the RRB where you applied (for example, RRB Mumbai at rrbmumbai.gov.in). Your e-admit card and registration email indicate the exact RRB.
- On the homepage, look for the Results section and open the link such as “CEN 01/2024 – ALP – CBT-1 Result” or “RRB ALP CBT-1 Scorecard”.
- You will be taken to the candidate login screen. Enter your registration number / roll number and date of birth / password.
- Submit the login to view your qualifying status and (once live) your normalised CBT-1 marks, section-wise scores and overall score.
- Download the scorecard PDF and take several printouts; you will need it at CBT-2, CBAT and Document Verification.
- If the RRB publishes a roll-number list instead of (or in addition to) the login scorecard, open the PDF and search your roll number; results are declared RRB-wise, so wait for your board if another RRB’s list appears earlier.
- For CBT-2 qualified candidates, watch for the CBAT e-call letter and aptitude test instructions on the same RRB website; the CBAT is conducted at prescribed centres and its qualifying percentile is mandatory for empanelment.

RRB ALP Cut Off & Score Normalisation Explained
The ALP CBT-1 and CBT-2 examinations are conducted in multiple shifts, and the RRBs therefore apply score normalisation to ensure fairness. Because the difficulty of question papers can differ from one shift to another, the boards analyse the distribution of scores of candidates in every shift and adjust raw marks using a percentile-based equalisation method published with the exam. The normalised score is used for preparing merit and cut-off lists, so two candidates of equal merit in different shifts stand comparable.
Category-wise cut-offs (UR, OBC, EWS, SC, ST) are then fixed after normalisation, considering the number of vacancies, the number of candidates examined and the shift-wise difficulty. The RRB notification also prescribes minimum qualifying percentages for each category. For CBT-2, Part A is qualifying in nature and its marks are not counted in merit, while Part B (trade-wise questions) scores are used for preparing merit of candidates who also pass the CBAT. In CBAT, candidates must score at least the minimum qualifying percentile in every aptitude test; final merit combines CBT-2 Part B and CBAT performance as prescribed in the notification.
Selection Process & Next Stage After CBT-1
- CBT-1: first screening CBT covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness; result declared.
- CBT-2: two-part examination. Part A (qualifying) covers Mathematics, GIR and General Science; Part B tests the trade/professional knowledge relevant to the candidate’s qualification (Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Mechanic, Automobile etc.). Conducted May–June 2025; results processed RRB-wise.
- CBAT (Aptitude Test): conducted at designated centres for CBT-2 qualified candidates; batteries test memory, spatial perception and similar aptitudes relevant to loco running duties. Minimum qualifying percentile mandatory in each test.
- Weightage & Merit: final merit is prepared as per the weightage prescribed in the notification (CBT-2 Part B and CBAT combined), post-wise and community-wise.

2. My roll number is missing from the ALP qualified list. What are my options?
Confirm that you are viewing the result PDF of your own RRB, since each board publishes a separate list. RRBs may issue revised or supplementary lists later, so keep checking the Results section of your RRB website. If you suspect a genuine error, file a representation through your RRB’s official grievance/helpdesk channel within the notified time limit.
3. Can I get my ALP scorecard through the rrbapply.gov.in login?
rrbapply.gov.in is the common application and status portal for RRB recruitments and may offer application-status facilities. However, ALP result PDFs and individual scorecards are published on the official website of the specific RRB that processed your application; log in there for the scorecard.
4. When will the Document Verification schedule for ALP be announced?
DV is scheduled only after CBAT for the merit-listed candidates. Each RRB announces its own DV dates on its website, and candidates are individually intimated.
