How to Check the IBPS PO/MT Result and Scorecard
- Go to the official IBPS website ibps.in. Every CRPD result, scorecard and allotment link is hosted in the Results section of the site.
- Find the link titled Combined Result of Online Main Examination and Interview for PO/MT (XV) recruitment (wording may vary slightly) and click it.
- The final result opens as a PDF roll-call list. Search your registration/roll number in the list to see whether you have been provisionally recommended.
- For your individual scorecard — showing normalised section-wise and overall marks for Prelims, Mains and interview status — open the scorecard link for the corresponding stage and log in.
- IBPS result login requires your Registration Number and Date of Birth/Password (or Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password) exactly as entered in the application form.

Cut-off and Scorecard Details
IBPS applies a two-stage cut-off mechanism and releases marks through scorecards on the candidate login:
- Prelims cut-off: section-wise and overall minimum qualifying marks for each category (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, UR and PwBD sub-categories). Only candidates at or above the cut-off are shortlisted for the Main examination in ratio to the vacancy; Prelims marks are not added to the final merit.
- Mains cut-off: section-wise and overall qualifying marks for the 200-mark Objective Test; the 25-mark Descriptive Test (letter and essay writing) is evaluated only for candidates who qualify in the Objective Test. The Descriptive marks join the Mains aggregate for merit.
- Interview qualifying: candidates must secure the minimum interview marks prescribed category-wise; the interview carries 20 marks and the minimum is generally 25% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS and 30% for UR/EWS.
- Final merit: the merit is built on Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive = 225 marks) and Interview (20 marks) — 245 marks in total — with reservation norms applied, and determines both recommendation and the order of bank allotment against the preference filled by the candidate.
- Scorecard: individual scorecards showing normalised scores, aggregate and qualifying status for each stage are available in the login portal for a limited period after the final result. The consolidated scorecard is released shortly after provisional allotment.
Selection Process and Next Stages After the Result
- Preliminary examination: qualifying online test of 100 marks — English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability.
- Online Main examination: Objective test of 200 marks (Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English) plus Descriptive Test of 25 marks (Letter & Essay writing).
- Interview: 20 marks, conducted by participating banks under IBPS coordination; candidates can name preferred location.
- Final merit and provisional allotment: candidates meeting all eligibility conditions are ranked on 245 marks; allotment is attempted in the order of bank preferences filled, subject to merit and category vacancy at each bank.
- Joining: allotted candidates must report to the bank as per its instructions; all participating banks usually give a common joining announcement window a few weeks after the provisional allotment.
- Document verification: originals of educational certificates, category/EWS/PwBD certificates, experience/ESM documents where claimed, and identity proofs are verified at joining. Any discrepancy leads to cancellation of candidature by the bank.
Candidates who are not recommended in the main list may still be considered if IBPS conducts a subsequent allotment round for posts left vacant — for example, where recommended candidates do not join. Waiting/reserve lists, wherever notified, are published only on ibps.in.

Q1. How do I access my PO/MT scorecard if the result window has closed?
Scorecard links remain active only for a limited period after each stage's result and after the final result. If the link has closed, candidates who downloaded/save earlier printouts can refer to those. IBPS may re-activate scorecard access in specific cases; otherwise marks can only be obtained through official RTI or grievance channels on ibps.in.
Q2. Where do I get the link to check my status if I forgot my roll number?
IBPS provides a Forgot Roll Number utility on the result/scorecard login page. Click it and enter your name, date of birth and the mobile number or email registered with your application to retrieve your registration and roll number. Q3. What is a provisional allotment and how does the waitlist work?
A provisional allotment means you have been recommended for joining a specific bank based on merit and preference, subject to document verification and eligibility confirmation. Candidates who clear the merit but are not allotted a bank in the first round may be placed in a reserve/waiting category. IBPS releases further allotment rounds only if vacancies remain; such announcements appear on ibps.in and candidates are not emailed separately.

The bank verifies originals of the graduation degree/provisional certificate, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, category/EWS/OBC-NCL certificate current as per rules, PwBD certificate and benchmark disability proof if claimed, photo identity proof, printed provisional allotment letter and any service-specific documents (like experience or ex-serviceman proof) declared in the application. Keep photocopies ready for submission to the bank.
