Important: The Clerk recruitment has no interview stage. The final merit is based entirely on marks scored in the Main (Online) examination.
How to Check the IBPS Clerk Result and Scorecard
- Visit the official IBPS website ibps.in and navigate to the Results section where every CRPD stage result is listed.

Cut-off and Scorecard Details
IBPS Clerk cut-offs are stage-wise, section-wise and category-wise (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, UR and PwBD sub-categories):
- Prelims cut-off: minimum qualifying marks for each of the three sections (English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability) and for the overall 100-mark test. Candidates equal to or above the cut-off are shortlisted for the Main examination as per the notified shortlisting ratio. Prelims marks are not counted for the final merit.
- Mains cut-off: section-wise and overall qualifying marks for the 200-mark Online Main examination (General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude). Since there is no interview, the Mains aggregate alone determines the final merit.
- Final merit: candidates are ranked purely on Mains marks (out of 200), reservation norms applied. Provisional allotment is worked out bank-wise against the preference order filled by the candidate, subject to merit and category vacancy at each bank.
- Scorecard: stage-wise scorecards are login-only and available for a limited window. The consolidated scorecard with Mains marks and allotment status is released after the final result, including for candidates who were not recommended.
- Language proficiency: proficiency in the local language of the state is tested at the document verification stage by the allotted bank. Candidates who cannot prove proficiency may be required to pass the bank's language test before confirmation.
Selection Process and Next Stages After the Result
- Preliminary online examination: 100 marks — English (30), Numerical Ability (35), Reasoning Ability (35). Qualifying in nature; does not count towards merit.
- Online Main examination: 200 marks — General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. Marks determine the final merit and allotment.
- Final merit list: category-wise ranking based only on Mains marks; no interview or group discussion for Clerical posts.
- Provisional allotment: IBPS works out allotment using merit, reservation and bank preference; recommended candidates receive their bank name in the login.

Q1. When can I see my Clerk XV scorecard and how do I log in?
Scorecards are released separately for the Prelims and Mains stages. After each result, click the scorecard link on ibps.in and log in with your registration number plus date of birth (or password). Access is limited to a few weeks, so download the scorecard as soon as it appears.
Q2. I cannot find my roll number — where is the link to retrieve it?
Use the Forgot Roll Number option on the IBPS login page; enter your name, date of birth and registered mobile/email to recover it. The numbers are also contained in the original application SMS/email and in the call letter PDF you downloaded earlier.
Q3. What if I am provisionally allotted a bank I did not prefer?
Allotment follows the preference order only as far as merit and vacancy allow. A bank lower on your preference (or unplanned) can be allotted if vacancies in your preferred banks are exhausted. The allotment is binding; not joining means the candidature is cancelled and a preference for the next cycle is not guaranteed.

The allotted bank verifies originals of Class 10/12 certificates, graduation degree or provisional certificate with mark sheets, category/EWS/OBC certificates current as per rules, PwBD documents if claimed, proof of local language proficiency where required, photo identity proof and the printed allotment letter. The bank may also run reference/character checks before confirming the candidate.
