No. 2980-PL dated 30.09.2026 of the Home & Hill Affairs Department and IGP (HQ) order No. 95/ORG/ORG-188/2017 (Pt-III) dated 06.10.2026.

Download the notice and prescribed application format of the concerned unit from the West Bengal Police website (https://wbpolice.gov.in/), print the form on white A4 paper, paste a recent passport-size photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm) and attach self-attested copies of the educational certificate, age proof, driving licence, residence proof (Aadhaar and voter card preferred) and experience certificate. Applications must be submitted personally in the drop box or by speed post at the office of the concerned unit, with the envelope superscribed "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF DRIVER (CONTRACTUAL), 2026".
Closing dates
Most unit notices allow 14 days from the date of publication, while a few prescribe a fixed date; the unit-wise last dates are given in the table above. The earliest closing date is 28 October 2026 and the last is 8 November 2026. Applications received after the closing date of the concerned unit will not be accepted. Candidates are advised to check the notice of their unit for the exact closing date, submission address and driving-test venue.
