VSSC Authorized Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 - Allopathy (Tripunithura) & Ayurveda (Kozhikode), 2 Contract Posts | Apply by 1 November

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India, Thiruvananthapuram-22, invites applications for the following positions on contract basis under its Community Health Service Scheme (CHSS). Advertisement No. 6.3/CHSS/VSSC/2026/03 dated 18.10.2026.

Positions advertised

1. Authorised Medical Officer (Allopathy) at Tripunithura in Ernakulam – 1 post
2. Authorised Medical Officer (Ayurveda) in Kozhikode City – 1 post

Remuneration

• AMO (Allopathy), Tripunithura: based on the number of files assigned, in the range of Rs.12,000/- to Rs.54,000/- per month.
• AMO (Ayurveda), Kozhikode: fixed amount of Rs.12,500/- per month.

Duration of contract

Initially for six months, extendable with mutual consent.

Nature of duty

Consultation and treatment of CHSS beneficiaries. The selected doctor should have a consultation room with good facilities at Tripunithura, Ernakulam (for the Allopathy post) or within the city limits of Kozhikode (for the Ayurveda post). The consultation room should be ready for inspection on or immediately after the date of personal interview.

Mode of selection

Personal interview followed by inspection of the consultation room. Only shortlisted candidates need to attend the interview; shortlisted candidates will receive intimation about the details of the interview through e-mail/phone.

Desirable

In case of selection, applicants may provide exclusive parking space at the location for beneficiaries visiting the clinic. Preference will be given to doctors below 70 years of age for both posts. No upper age limit is otherwise prescribed in the advertisement.

• Interested candidates are advised to download the application form from www.vssc.gov.in, fill it up and submit the same through e-mail to [email protected] (with the subject ‘Application to the position of AMO at Tripunithura / Ayurveda AMO at Kozhikode on contract’) on or before 01.11.2026, along with a scanned copy of the educational qualification/registration certificates and proof of the experience mentioned above, as an advance copy.
• Candidates should appear for the interview in person along with the bio-data form (download and duly fill in the prescribed format), original certificates proving educational qualification, age, experience, registration etc., along with any other relevant information.
• Candidates should enclose self-attested true copies of the relevant certificates/testimonials along with the application and submit the same on the date of interview.

General conditions

1. Only Indian Nationals need apply.
2. Candidates possessing the advertised qualification, skill, experience etc. alone will be allowed to attend the interview.
3. Candidates are advised to make their own arrangements for their stay, at their cost, if required.
4. Selection does not warrant any claim for regular employment in VSSC or any other Centres of ISRO/DOS.
5. The Centre reserves the right to terminate the appointment at any time before completion of the tenure if it so decides, and the right not to fill up the positions.
6. No interim correspondence will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
