Eligibility
- Qualification: Passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognised board/institute.
- Age: Minimum 14 years as on 03 December 2026. No upper age limit prescribed in the notification.
Reservation & Preference
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC will be as per the Apprentices Act, 1961. VPA gives preference to children of VPA employees in the ratio 4 : 1 : 1 — 4 for VPA (children of deceased/medically invalidated/superannuated employees), 1 for CHD (children of harbour draft employees), and 1 for Outsiders. Within the VPA quota, sub-ratio is 2 : 1 : 1 for deceased / medically invalidated & superannuated / serving employees respectively.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting purely on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in ITI (merit).
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification.
- Trade allotment is at the discretion of the Head of Department.
- TA/DA not admissible for certificate verification. No boarding/lodging allowance.
