Uttara Kannada District Court Process Server & Peon Recruitment 2026

Office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Uttara Kannada, Karwar has issued Notification No. 1/2026 dated 05.08.2026 inviting online applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to the posts of Process Server (ಆದೇಶ-ಜಾರಿಕಾರ) and Peon (ಜವಾನ) in various courts under the Uttara Kannada District Court establishment, Karnataka. Online applications can be submitted from 17.08.2026 to 16.09.2026 (11:59 PM) through the official website.

Vacancy Details

Reservation includes horizontal reservation for women, rural candidates, persons with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen, Kannada medium candidates, project-affected homeless candidates and third-gender candidates as per Karnataka Government rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Process Server (13 Posts)

• Educational Qualification: Passed SSLC examination or equivalent qualification.
• Preference: Candidates holding Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) / Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license will be given preference.

Peon (65 Posts)

• Educational Qualification: Passed SSLC examination or equivalent qualification.
• Kannada: Must be able to read and write Kannada.

Age Limit

• Candidates must have completed 18 years as on the last date of submission of application.
• Maximum age: 40 years for General category candidates (as per GO No. CRSU 262 SENY 2025 dated 29.01.2026).
• Age Relaxation:
  • Government servants: relaxation up to 10 years or service period, whichever is less.
  • Ex-servicemen: 03 years + years of service rendered in the Central Armed Forces.
  • Persons with disabilities (PwD): 10 years.
  • Widow candidates: 10 years.
  • Reserved categories as per Karnataka Government norms.

• Process Server: Rs. 31,775-725-32,500-800-35,700-900-39,300-1000-43,300-1125-47,800-1250-52,800-1375-58,300-1500-61,300
• Peon: Rs. 27,000-650-29,600-725-32,500-800-35,700-900-39,300-1000-43,300-1125-46,675

Application Fee

• Fee must be paid online through State Bank of India Collect page via Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card.
• Fee is to be paid only in the name of "Principal District & Sessions Judge, Uttara Kannada, Karwar".
• Last date for fee payment: 17.09.2026 (11:59 PM).

Selection Process

Selection of Process Server and Peon will be based on the marks obtained in the Interview as per the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Ministerial and Other Posts) (Recruitment) Rules, 1982 and the amendment rules of 2007 and 2021. 10 marks have been allocated for the interview. In case of a tie in marks, the elder candidate (by age) will be placed higher in the merit order.

Reservation Instructions

• Candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST, Category-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB must possess a valid caste certificate in the format prescribed by the Karnataka Government.
• Rural candidates claiming rural reservation must possess a valid rural candidate certificate; General category rural candidates must also produce a non-creamy layer certificate along with the rural candidate certificate.
• Third-gender candidates and PwD candidates must produce the prescribed certificates issued by the competent authority.

3. Register with valid email ID and mobile number and complete the online application form.
4. Upload the required documents / certificates at the time of submitting the online application.
5. Pay the application fee online through the SBI Collect page (as applicable).
6. Submit the application before 16.09.2026, 11:59 PM and take a printout for future reference.
