The Uttarakhand Space Application Centre (USAC), under the Department of Information Technology, Government of Uttarakhand, invites candidates for a walk-in interview for 5 posts under its project-linked requirements. Advertisement No. 10/2026.
Walk-in interview: 04.11.2026 at 10:30 AM at the Director, Uttarakhand Space Application Centre, Upper Aamwala, Nalapani, Dehradun – 248008. Candidates must report with their application form, all original certificates, photocopies of identity proof and a passport-size photograph.
Posts, vacancies and pay
- Junior Project Fellow – 4 posts – Rs.24,000 per month + 16% house rent allowance
- Field Assistant – 1 post – Rs.18,000 per month + 16% house rent allowance

Junior Project Fellow – eligibility
- Essential: post-graduate degree with at least 55% marks in Remote Sensing and GIS / Environment Science / Geoinformatics / Life Science / Forestry / Geography / Earth Science / Hydrology and Physical Science from a recognised university
- Reserved category candidates require a minimum of 50% marks
- Age: maximum 28 years as on 01.01.2026
- Desirable: working knowledge of RS/GIS software; field work experience in Uttarakhand; experience of image processing and of working in remote sensing and GIS-based projects or industries; GPS work experience; computer knowledge. Research students will be given preference
Field Assistant – eligibility
- Essential: graduate degree from a recognised university, with working knowledge of computers
- Age: maximum 42 years as on 01.01.2026
- Desirable: basic computer knowledge and experience of working in the relevant field in Uttarakhand
Age relaxation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes is available as per rules. Age is calculated as on 01.01.2026.
Terms of engagement
- Engagement is purely on a contract basis under projects and is co-terminus with the project
- Appointment is initially up to March 2027, and may be extended depending on project requirements
- The Centre may terminate the engagement at any time if performance is not found satisfactory, and the posts stand automatically abolished once the sanctioned project duration is over
- No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview
- There is no possibility of absorption or regularisation in any post of USAC for persons appointed under this project
- The Centre reserves the right not to fill the advertised posts
- In all matters, the decision of the Director, USAC is final and binding
