UPSSSC PET 2026 (Preliminary Eligibility Test)
Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has invited online applications for the Prarambhik Arhata Pariksha (Preliminary Eligibility Test) – PET 2026. Advertisement No. 16-Pariksha/2026 dated 01.08.2026.
PET is a qualifying eligibility test. Candidates who qualify PET-2026 become eligible to apply for subsequent UPSSSC Group B & C recruitments within its validity period. The PET score is valid for 03 years from the result date.

Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: Minimum Class 10 (High School) pass from any recognized board, or equivalent/higher qualification from a recognized university.
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as on 01.07.2026 (relaxation as per UP Govt. rules for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Skilled Players/UP State Employees).
- OTR: One Time Registration (OTR) on the UPSSSC website is mandatory before applying.
- Score Validity: 03 years from the result declaration date.

Exam Pattern (PET)
- Mode: Offline OMR-based, Objective (MCQ).
- Total 100 questions, 100 marks, duration 02 hours.
- +1 mark per correct answer; 0.25 mark negative marking per incorrect answer.
- Question difficulty based on NCERT level (Class 10th-12th).
- Subjects: Indian History & National Movement, Geography, Indian Economy, Indian Constitution & Public Administration, General Science, Elementary Arithmetic, General Hindi, General English, Logic & Reasoning, Current Affairs / General Awareness.
How to Apply
- Apply online only through upsssc.gov.in (OTR login required).
- Steps: OTR login → Apply for PET-2026 → Fill details → Upload photo & signature → Pay fee → Submit.
- After fee payment, verify Transaction ID via "Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification Mode".
- Print the Detailed Application Form / Registration Slip.
