UP Gramin Bank Financial Literacy Counsellor Engagement 2026 – 20 Districts | Apply by 23 Sep
Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank (a Scheduled Bank owned by the Government) has invited applications for engagement of Financial Literacy Counsellors (FLC) on a contract basis in 20 districts of its service area. Retired officers / other eligible persons can apply in the prescribed format (Annexure-I). Applications must reach the Bank Head Office, Lucknow on or before 23 September 2026 by 5:00 PM.

Eligibility Criteria

| Educational Qualification | Graduate degree from a recognised university. Preference to candidates with a Post-graduate degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Sociology, Psychology or Social Work |
| Proficiency | Proficiency in local language; interest in teaching; knowledge of computer operation |
| Subject Knowledge | Adequate knowledge of banking, insurance, investment, pension, law and finance, with excellent communication, team building and problem solving skills |
| Age Limit | Not more than 65 years at the time of appointment |
| Residence | Permanent resident of the same or adjacent district; temporary residents must have resided in the applied district for at least 3 years (valid document required) |
Experience Requirement (any one of the following)
- Ex-banker with at least 5 years service in a nationalised bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB); or
- Person with at least 5 years experience in banking / related areas, NBFCs or financial institutions; or
- Person with at least 5 years experience as Business Correspondent (BC) or BC-Coordinator; or
- Minimum 3 years experience as RSETI Director or minimum 5 years as Faculty Member (RSETI).
Note: Retired employees of UPGB will be given preference.
Contract Period and Honorarium
Engagement will be on a contract basis for a period of one year. The counsellor will be paid a fixed honorarium of Rs. 15,000 /- per month and up to Rs. 3,000 /- per month (maximum, based on performance and other parameters) towards miscellaneous expenses.
Selection and How to Apply
Selection of the Financial Literacy Counsellor will be made on the basis of an interview. The Bank reserves the full right to postpone or cancel the selection without assigning any reason.

- Attach the required documents / forms along with the application.

- Ensure the application reaches the Head Office on or before 23 September 2026 (5:00 PM). Applications received after the date / time will not be considered.
