District Programme Office, Child Development Services & Nutrition, Kanpur Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) invites online applications from eligible women candidates for direct recruitment to the vacant posts of Anganwadi Helper (आंगनवाड़ी सहायिका) on honorarium basis in various Child Development Projects (CDPOs) of Kanpur Nagar district. Eligibility Criteria

• Gender: Only women candidates.
• Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed at least Class 8 (Middle) from a recognised board. Graduates are also eligible to apply.
• Age: 18–35 years as on 01.07.2026 (cut-off). Date of birth as per High School marksheet / certificate.
• Residency: Must be a permanent resident of the ward / Gram Sabha (or corresponding Nyaya Panchayat) where the vacancy exists. For urban wards, online residence certificate must show ward number & name.
• Preference Categories: Widow > legally divorced/abandoned woman > other women from BPL / APL families of the same Gram Sabha/ward.

Selection Preference (Priority Order)

BPL (Below Poverty Line): Widow → legally divorced / abandoned woman → other BPL women of the same Gram Sabha / ward.

APL (Above Poverty Line): Same priority order if no suitable BPL candidate is found.

BPL income limit: Rs. 46,080 (rural) / Rs. 56,460 (urban). Income certificate must be verifiable online and not older than 3 years.

Honorarium

Selected candidates will receive monthly honorarium as fixed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh from time to time for Anganwadi Helpers. The honorarium is revised periodically by the Department of Women & Child Development, UP.
