- Educational Qualification: Minimum High School (Class 10) passed; merit will be determined on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination as per norms

- Residential Requirement: Candidate must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha (rural) / same Ward (urban) where the vacancy is advertised
- Income Limit (BPL): Annual family income up to Rs. 46,080/- (rural) and Rs. 56,460/- (urban)
- If no eligible candidate is available in any category in a Gram Sabha, selection will be made from the concerned Nyay Panchayat
