The Institute for Solid State Physics (ISSP), The University of Tokyo (UTokyo) invites applications for a Research Associate Position at its Center for New Materials Research. Location: Kashiwa Campus, Kashiwa, Chiba, Japan
Start Date: As soon as possible after receiving the job offer
Initial Appointment: 5 years
Extension: Up to an additional 5 years based on satisfactory performance
Probation Period: 14 days from the start of employment
The selected candidate will collaborate with Associate Professor Hirose on developing molecular materials exhibiting unique spectroscopic and electrochemical properties.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting innovative research in synthetic organic chemistry and molecular materials
Exploring new research frontiers in materials science and chemistry
Collaborating with domestic and international research groups
Mentoring graduate students and contributing to academic activities
Engaging in interdisciplinary and collaborative research initiatives
Applicants must:
Hold a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent qualification, OR
Be on track to obtain their doctoral degree before the appointment begins.
