The department seeks an outstanding scholar whose research explores journalism and society in a rapidly evolving media landscape and who can contribute to the department's teaching, research, service, and public engagement missions.

The selected candidate will:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in journalism.

Contribute to departmental service and public engagement.
Participate in the College of Media's interdisciplinary doctoral program through the Institute of Communications Research (ICR).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should have:
A Ph.D. in Journalism, Communication, Sociology, Information Sciences, or a closely related field by 16 August 2027.
A strong record or demonstrated potential for scholarly research and teaching.
Professional journalism experience is desirable but not mandatory.
