About the Position
The selected candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses in general linguistics. Teaching areas may include introductory linguistics, phonology, syntax, morphology and other related subjects.
The lecturer may also be responsible for developing new courses or updating existing courses for both in-person and online delivery. (UF Jobs)
Key Responsibilities
Teach three linguistics courses per semester.
Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in general linguistics.
Develop and revise courses for in-person and online formats.
Work with the undergraduate coordinator and departmental faculty.
Support the development and growth of the linguistics programme.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants must:
Hold a PhD in Linguistics completed by 15 August 2026.
Have experience teaching undergraduate linguistics courses.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicants who demonstrate:
Successful teaching experience in introductory linguistics, phonology, syntax and morphology.
Experience teaching linguistics at different academic levels.
Expertise in curriculum development and assessment.
Experience developing courses for classroom and online delivery.
Ability to manage a three-course-per-semester teaching load.
Experience collaborating with programme leaders and faculty members.
