- Education: Intermediate (or equivalent) with Science or Mathematics, from a Board/Council established by law in India or a recognised Uttarakhand school. Preferential: 2 yrs Territorial Army / NCC 'B'/'C'.
- UK connect (any one): Employment Exchange registration in UK; or UK domicile/permanent residence; or High School + Intermediate from UK institutions (exceptions for military/govt personnel posted in UK + families).
- Physical: Height M 163 cm / F 150 cm (relaxed 152/145 cm for ST & listed hill communities); chest expansion 5 cm (male); eyesight within ±4.00 D.
- Age: 18 – 28 years as on 01.07.2026 (DOB 02.07.1998 – 01.07.2008). Relaxation: UK SC/ST/OBC +5; UK Divyang +10 (Group-C); FF dependents +5; Ex-SM per rules.
- Indian citizen (Tibetan refugee pre-1962 / PoI migrants with eligibility certificate also eligible).
