Eligibility

• Age Limit (as on 01 September 2026): Upper age limit 30 years; applicants should be born on or after 02 September 1996
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates in posts reserved for them; Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines (in no case exceeding 40 years)
• Assistant Manager (Electrical): Degree in Electrical or Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university
• Assistant Manager (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical or Marine or Naval Architecture Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university
• Essential: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Electrical/Electrical Design/Quality Control/Outfitting/Utility & Maintenance (Electrical) or Quality Control/Machinery/Hull Fabrication/Hull Erection/Piping/Installation & Commissioning/Outfitting (Mechanical) in Ship Building, Ship Repair, Marine related, Port, Engineering Company or Government/Semi-Government Company/Establishment
• Desirable: Experience in ERP/SAP/computerized environment and QMS/ISO/IMS documentation
• PwBD not included as UCSL is engaged in hazardous operations
• Educational Qualification: Degree in Electrical/Electronics/ECE (AM Electrical) or Mechanical/Marine/Naval Architecture (AM Mechanical) Engineering with minimum 60% marks + minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience

Selection Process

1. Objective Type Test (50 MCQs, 60 minutes: General Knowledge 10 marks + Subject Based 40 marks; no negative marks; qualifying marks 50% for UR/EWS and 40% for SC/ST)
2. Certificate verification, then PowerPoint presentation (30 marks) + Personal Interview (20 marks); total 100 marks
3. Rank list based on aggregate marks; tie-breaker: subject part marks then seniority in age
