Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai invites applications for the post of Consultant – Infrastructure Development and Support (IDS) on contract basis for infrastructure development and renovation projects.

Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

Essential: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 15 years of experience in planning, execution, and supervision of civil works in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous organizations.

Desirable:

• Held the position of Executive Engineer or above in CPWD or equivalent organization
• Experience in handling multi-storied institutional, residential, or public infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of CPWD manuals, government procurement procedures, and contract management systems

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on all infrastructure development and maintenance projects
• Scrutinize project proposals, drawings, and estimates for compliance with CPWD norms
• Coordinate with CPWD, PWD, local authorities for technical approvals and clearances
• Assist in preparation of DPRs and tender documents
• Evaluate bids and assist in tendering process
• Monitor ongoing projects, conduct site inspections, submit progress reports
• Advise on maintenance schedules and sustainable infrastructure practices
• Provide inputs for annual infrastructure planning and budgeting
