THSTI RN-22 Walk-in Recruitment 2026 - 7 Project Research Scientist, Technical Support & Lab Technician Posts

BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an Institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites eligible candidates for walk-in written test / skill test / interview against the following project posts. Recruitment Notice No. THS/RN/22/2026 dated 24 October 2026.

Note the different walk-in dates. Each post is interviewed on the date shown against it. Candidates must report at 9:00 a.m. on the applicable date. Candidates coming after the time slot will not be entertained.

Projects and Principal Investigators

• Placenta Health Project – Adaptive Dose Finding Platform in India (PI: Dr. Nitya Wadhwa) – Project Research Scientist-III.
• Development of an advanced multiplex bead-based platform for comprehensive detection of viral nucleic acids in human, animal and environmental samples across high-density areas in Delhi NCR (PI: Dr. Shailendra Mani) – Project Technical Support-II and Project Technical Support-III.
• Regulation and functional dissection of RelBE toxin-antitoxin systems in Mycobacterium tuberculosis pathophysiology (PI: Dr. Ramandeep Singh) – Project Research Scientist-II.
• Inter-Institutional School of Diagnostic Innovation in Bio-design (SIB): a fellowship programme for building a next-generation pool of diagnostic innovators and entrepreneurs (PI: Prof. G. Karthikeyan) – Lab Technician.
• Development of EZH1-Knockout iPSC-Derived CD19 CAR-NK Cells as an Off-the-Shelf Immunotherapy for Relapsed/Refractory Acute and Chronic Lymphoblastic Leukemia (PI: Dr. Amit Awasthi) – Project Research Scientist-I and Project Technical Support-III.

What to bring

• Latest CV/resume.
• One set of photocopies of documents in support of educational qualification and experience, along with the originals, and a valid ID card for verification.
• All candidates attending the written test/skill test/interview must deposit their mobile phone along with a valid identity proof at the reception; these will be returned only on completion of the entire selection process.

Age relaxation

• By five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities.
• By three years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.
• For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): UR – ten years; OBC – 13 years; SC/ST – 15 years.
• Age is relaxable for Central Government servants up to five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.
• Institute/Departmental employees will get age relaxation to the extent of the service rendered by them as on the closing date of the advertisement.
• For ex-servicemen, up to the extent of service rendered in the defence forces (Army, Navy & Air Force) plus 3 years, provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months' attested service.

General terms and conditions

• These are short-term positions; extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and the tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed will have no claim for regularisation of employment.
• All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognised Board/University.
• The experience requirement specified is experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post. Candidates must satisfy themselves, before applying or appearing for the selection process, that they possess the minimum eligibility criteria; no query will be entertained on eligibility criteria.
• The date of interview of the respective post will be the crucial date for determining eligibility with regard to age, experience, essential qualification, etc.
• All results and notifications will only be published on the THSTI website; candidates should visit it regularly. All communications will be made only through e-mail.
• In case many candidates appear for the walk-in interview, screening will be done to limit the number of candidates to those possessing higher/relevant qualification and experience.
• The number of vacancies indicated may change subject to the actual requirement at the time of the written test/skill test/interview.
• With regard to any provisions not covered in the notification, the bye-laws of THSTI / Government of India rules and guidelines shall prevail. Canvassing wrong information in any form will be a disqualification.

No application fee is prescribed in the notice. The Institute states that the Government strives to have a work force which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply.
