Selection Process
- Objective type (Multiple Choice Question) written examination. There will be negative marking — 1 mark for each correct answer and 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Merit list based on written exam marks, followed by counselling/document verification.
- Reservation and other rules as per Punjab Government instructions.
Other Conditions
- Knowledge of Punjabi is mandatory — the candidate must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject (or an equivalent examination), per Rule 17 of the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994.
- The cut-off date for minimum educational and other qualifications is the last date for submission of the application (22-10-2026).
- Reservation benefit is available only to residents of Punjab; a Punjab Domicile/Residence Certificate (not older than 5 years) must be uploaded.
