Overview

The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Andhra Pradesh, Mangalagiri has released six separate recruitment notifications, inviting online applications for 2,050 posts across the Andhra Pradesh Police Department, State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department, and Prisons and Correctional Services Department. Posts include Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspectors, Reserve Sub Inspectors, Police Constables, Firemen, Warders, and Scientific Assistants (Forensic Science Laboratory).

Vacancy Details

Vacancy numbers are provisional and liable to change without notice. 33¹⁄₃% of vacancies in each communal category (including EWS) are reserved for women for Post Code 25 (PC Communications), applied as horizontal reservation. Reservations apply for Special Categories - Home Guard (HG), Children of Police Personnel (CPP), NCC, and Ex-Servicemen.

Educational Qualification (as on 01.07.2026)

• SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF): Any Degree from a recognised university. SC/ST candidates must have passed Intermediate and appeared for 1st and 2nd year exams (if a degree is not yet obtained).
• SI (Communications): Diploma/B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Computer Engineering, IT, or a Special Diploma in Electronics (Computer/Communication), or a 3-year B.Sc. Electronics.
• SI (PTO): Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automobile Engineering.
• Scientific Assistant (Physical): M.Sc. (I or II Division) with Physics, or Forensic Science with Physics as a special subject.
• Scientific Assistant (Chemical): M.Sc. (I or II Division) with Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry, or Forensic Science with Chemistry/Toxicology.
• Scientific Assistant (Biology/Serology): M.Sc. (I or II Division) in the relevant biological science discipline as specified in the notification.
• PC (Civil), PC (AR), Fireman (Code 21/22/42): Intermediate or its equivalent. SC/ST candidates must have passed SSC and studied/appeared for both years of Intermediate.
• Warders (Men & Women), Code 53/54: Intermediate or its equivalent.
• PC (Communications): SSC + ITI in Electronic Mechanic / IT & Electronic System Maintenance / COPA / Mechanic Consumer Electronics / Electrician, OR Intermediate (MPC), OR Vocational Intermediate in EET/ET.
• SCT Constable (Mechanics): SSC + ITI in Wireman / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Mechanic Diesel / Fitter.
• SCT Constable (Drivers): Intermediate, OR SSC + ITI in Auto Electrician / MMV / Mechanic Diesel / Fitter, plus a valid LMV driving licence held continuously for at least 2 years as on the date of notification.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2026)

• SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF), SI (Communications), SI (PTO): 21 to 27 years.
• PC (Civil), PC (AR): 18 to 24 years (32 years for serving local Home Guards with at least 360 days service in the preceding 2 years).
• Fireman, Warders (Men & Women): 18 to 32 years.
• PC (Communications): 18 to 24 years (32 years for eligible serving local Home Guards).
• SCT Constable (Mechanics): 18 to 24 years.
• SCT Constable (Drivers): 18 to 27 years.
• Scientific Assistant (FSL): Up to 44 years.

Age Relaxation: EWS, BC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST - up to 5 years; AP State Government employees - up to 5 years based on length of regular service; Ex-Servicemen and whole-time NCC Cadet Corps Instructors - 3 years in addition to length of service rendered; Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated (PC Civil & allied posts) - up to 42 years (SC/ST) / up to 37 years (other categories).

Application Fee

Candidates non-local to Andhra Pradesh are treated under Open Category (OC). If a candidate pays the fee but fails to press "Submit", the application is rejected without notice and the fee is not refunded.

Salary

• SI (Communications): Rs. 45,830 - 1,30,580
• SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF), SI (PTO), Scientific Assistant (FSL): Rs. 44,570 - 1,27,480
• All Constable posts, Fireman, Warder: Rs. 25,220 - 80,910

Selected candidates receive a stipend during institutional training and are appointed to the regular time scale of pay (RPS 2022) on completion of training.

Selection Process

SI (Civil), RSI (AR), SI (SPF) & PC (Civil), PC (AR), Fireman, Warders: Preliminary Written Test (two objective papers of 100 marks each - Arithmetic & Reasoning and General Studies; qualifying/shortlisting only) then Physical Measurements Test (PMT) then Physical Efficiency Test (PET - 1600m run, 100m run, long jump) then Final Written Examination (four papers of 3 hours each; Paper I English and Paper II Telugu/Urdu are qualifying only, Papers III & IV count towards merit).

SI (Communications) and SI (PTO): No preliminary test. Certificate Verification + PMT, qualifying 1600m run (PET), then Written Examination (English 100 marks qualifying, Arithmetic & Reasoning 100 marks, Technical Paper 200 marks). Final merit on Papers II & III (300 marks).

PC (Communications): PMT, qualifying 1600m run, single objective Technical Paper of 200 marks.

SCT Constables (Mechanics and Drivers): PMT and qualifying 1600m run; Mechanics must clear a Trade Test and Drivers a Driving Test (100 marks each, minimum 50 marks to qualify); final selection on a 200-mark objective Technical Paper (3 hours).

Scientific Assistant (FSL): No physical or preliminary test. Single objective written examination of 120 questions for 120 marks (2 hours, English only), followed by Certificate Verification.

Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for OC (incl. EWS), 35% for BCs, 30% for SC/ST candidates.

4. Log in and fill in the required details in the online application form (STAGE I).
5. Upload photograph, signature, SSC certificate, community certificate (BC/SC/ST if applicable), EWS certificate, and Non-Creamy Layer certificate (if applicable).
6. Pay the application fee online and press "Submit".
7. Qualifying candidates must revisit the website to upload the STAGE II application with further required certificates.
