The Office of the District Child Protection Unit (जिला बाल संरक्षण इकाई), Sheikhpura, Bihar has released an advertisement inviting applications from eligible candidates for contract-based engagement of staff for the Specialised Adoption Agency (विशिष्ट दत्तक ग्रहण संस्थान) operated under the Mission Vatsalya scheme for the care and protection of children in the 0-6 year age group. The recruitment is made in accordance with the letter of the Director, Social Welfare-cum-Vice-Chairman, State Child Protection Committee, Bihar, Patna bearing reference letter number 09/…(विविध)-09/207(अंश-4)-498 dated 06.04.2026. The posts are purely temporary and are to be filled on a contract basis for the Specialised Adoption Agency at Sheikhpura. There are a total of four (4) posts under the advertisement as detailed below.

Age Limit

The maximum and minimum age is calculated on the basis of the reference date 04.07.2026. Employees who are already working in the State Child Protection Committee, District Child Protection Unit, and Child Care Institutions and who possess the qualification for the advertised post will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit equivalent to the period of work done in the said institutions after their engagement, up to the maximum prescribed age. This benefit of age relaxation will be granted only in respect of the post in which the candidate previously worked. The fraction of any working year will also be included in this relaxation.

Applications will be accepted from the date of publication of the advertisement up to 30.09.2026. Applications received after the above time limit or through any other mode will not be accepted. Applications will be accepted only online / by email. Where a candidate is eligible for more than one post, a separate application must be made for each post. Interview and Verification

Candidates called for the interview must bring the original copies of all certificates and experience certificates attached with the application form for verification. All information relating to this advertisement, such as the provisional list of eligible candidates to participate in the interview, claims, objections, and the merit list of candidates, will be published from time to time on the website https://sheikhpura.bih.nic.in and displayed on the notice board of the District Child Protection Unit, Sheikhpura office at Nikhar Complex (near Union Bank). No separate call letter is sent to candidates by post.

Terms and Conditions

All the above honourarium-based posts are contract-based, which are for the plan period or till the age of 60 years, whichever is applicable earlier. All posts will initially be engaged with a probation period of one (1) year. On satisfactory completion of the probation period, the service may be extended for the period prescribed by the Government. If the post is abolished by the Central Government or the State Government, or if the allocation under the scheme head is terminated, the post will be automatically deemed abolished. If permanent appointment is made on these posts by the Government in future, this engagement will be automatically deemed terminated. If any document is found to be fake at the time of verification, whether before or after engagement, the engagement will be cancelled and necessary legal action will be taken against the candidate under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Expenses recovered after engagement.

Candidates selected on honourarium basis will neither be treated as government servants nor be entitled to any government facility admissible to government servants. Candidates selected on honourarium basis will have no claim for regularisation in government service. The verification of all desired documents submitted by the candidate, on the basis of which engagement is to be made, may be done from the office issuing the certificate. In case of equal marks in the merit list, the older candidate will be given preference. In matters relating to district-level engagement, the appellate authority will be the District Magistrate (जिला पदाधिकारी), Sheikhpura and his decision will be final and binding.
