Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow invites applications for 01 post — Specialist Medical Officer Gr.-II (General Medicine) under a special recruitment drive for a Backlog vacancy (SC) against reserved category from domiciles of Uttar Pradesh.

Vacancy Details

Educational Qualification

• A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (now NMC Act-2019).
• Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty or super specialty mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule-VI.
• Three years experience in the concerned specialty after obtaining the postgraduate diploma.

Age Limit

18 to 50 years (decisive date 1st July 2026). Age relaxation as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules; relaxable up to 5 years for permanent UP Govt employees with not less than 3 years regular and continuous service.

Salary / Emoluments

Level-11 Pay Matrix Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700 (as per 7th CPC).

Selection Process

Selection will be based on an Interview in order of merit.
