SGPGIMS Lucknow Neonatology ICMR Project Recruitment 2026 - 04 Posts (TPN Compounding System), Apply by 2 Nov

Applications are invited for the following posts in the ICMR-funded research project entitled "Proof-of-Concept Development and Preclinical Validation of a Compact Sterile Automated Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) Compounding System for Neonatal Intensive Care Units" at the Department of Neonatology, SGPGIMS Lucknow, vide Advertisement No. R/30/2026-27.

Positions, Age Limit and Remuneration

Essential Qualification and Desirable Experience

• Project Research Scientist-II (Medical): MBBS with three years post-qualification experience, or MBBS with a postgraduate degree (MD) or equivalent including integrated PG degrees, or MBBS with PhD. Desirable: MD/DNB in Pediatrics or DM/fellowship in Neonatology or another relevant clinical specialty, experience in neonatal intensive care, clinical research, medical device development or nutrition/TPN research.
• Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) - Mechanical Engineering: four-year graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics / Biomedical Engineering / Production Engineering or an allied engineering field with three years post-qualification experience. Desirable: product and medical device development, precision mechanical systems, fluid handling, laboratory automation, CAD/3D modelling, prototyping, pump mounting, tubing and manifold layout, peristaltic pumps, load-cell integration, leak/occlusion testing and design for manufacture.
• Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) - Electronics & Computer/Software: four-year graduate degree in Electronics / ECE / Electrical / Instrumentation / Mechatronics / Computer Science / IT or an allied engineering field with three years post-qualification experience. Desirable: embedded systems, microcontrollers, PCB development, sensor interfacing, motor and pump control, C/C++ and Python, firmware, data acquisition, load cells, ADCs, motor drivers, alarms and interlocks, touchscreen interfaces, hardware-software integration and prototype validation.
• Project Technical Support-I: 10th pass with a Diploma or ITI or equivalent in Product / Industrial / Mechanical Design, CAD, Drafting or an allied field plus two years' experience, or a three-year graduate degree in a relevant design, mechanical or product development field plus one year's experience. Desirable: CAD/3D modelling, SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Creo, 3D printing and rapid prototyping, product ergonomics and cleaning-friendly medical equipment design.

• The initial appointment is for the first year of the grant and may be extended subject to satisfactory performance until the duration of the project; tenure is coterminous with the project.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• The Director reserves the right to cancel the advertisement or the selection without assigning any reason.
