Eligibility
Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2027. No age relaxation (upper or lower) is permissible. Date of birth must not be earlier than 02.01.2002 and not later than 01.01.2009. A copy of the Matriculation or equivalent certificate, or the Birth Certificate, must be uploaded as proof of date of birth.

No relaxation in the minimum educational qualification is permissible.
Sports norms are prescribed separately for Level-4/5, Level-2/3 and Level-1, and include representation of the country in the Olympic Games or specified international championships, podium positions in World Cup / World Championships / Asian Games / Commonwealth Games and their junior and senior variants, national championships and All India Inter-University Championships, and discipline-specific criteria for Athletics, Chess, Table Tennis, Hockey, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Cricket, Volleyball, Golf and Body Building. Achievements must have been earned on or after 01.04.2024, and only the concluding day of the championship counts. Championships must have been conducted under the aegis of International/National Sports Federations recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports at the time of that championship. The full norms are set out in paras 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 of the notification.
Sportspersons fulfilling the minimum sports norms for a higher grade are also eligible for recruitment in lower grades.

Fees are payable online only through internet banking, debit or credit card. Cash, cheque, money order, Central Recruitment Fee Stamps or demand draft are not accepted and such applications will be rejected. A refundable portion (Rs. 400/- for UR/OBC and Rs. 250/- for the other categories) is refunded to eligible candidates who actually appear in the Trial.
How to Apply
- Visit www.rrcser.co.in and click on the “Online/E-Application for Sports Quota (OA) / 2026-27” link, then “New Registration”.
- Fill in personal information (name, father’s name, date of birth, community, e-mail address and mobile number). A registration number and password are sent to the registered e-mail/mobile.
- Log in with the registration number and password and complete the registration step by step.
- Indicate the bank account for refund of the examination fee (either the account used for payment or a beneficiary account with name, number, bank and IFSC).
- Provide details of a valid photo identity card and upload it.
- Upload the scanned photograph, signature and left thumb impression, and self-attested certificates proving date of birth, essential educational/technical qualification, caste (SC/ST/OBC/EBC/EWS), income certificate, self-declarations for OBC and minority candidates, and sports achievements.
Documents to be Uploaded
- Photograph: colour passport-size, white/light background, 3.5 cm × 3.5 cm, not older than three months, JPG/JPEG at 100 DPI, up to 70 KB.
- Signature and LTI: on white paper with black ink within a box of 50 mm × 20 mm (140 × 60 pixels), JPG/JPEG at 100 dpi, 10–40 KB; signature in Hindi or English, not in capitals or disjointed letters.
- Other documents (PDF only): valid government photo identity card; self-attested educational qualification certificate; sports achievement certificates for championships concluded on or after 01.04.2024 from a recognised sports association/university; proof of age (Matriculation/10th certificate); certificates for all recognised sports achievements; community certificates as applicable (SC/ST, OBC-NCL with self-declaration, EBC income certificate, EWS certificate, minority declaration, ex-servicemen discharge certificate and PPO).
- Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi must be accompanied by an attested translation.
