Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR (SDSC SHAR), ISRO, Sriharikota invites online applications for 400 Apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended 1973) across Engineering Graduate, Non-Engineering Graduate, Technician (Diploma), DCCP, Trade (ITI) and Vocational categories. • Engineering Graduate (50): Mechanical/Aerospace/Production/Industrial (15), Electronics ECE/EIE/ICE/ETE (10), Electrical/EEE (9), Computer Science CSE/IT/AI&ML/DS/CS (5), Civil (4), Chemical (7).
• Non-Engineering Graduate (60): Science (20), Commerce (25), Arts (15).
• Technician Diploma (35): Mechanical/Aerospace (10), Electronics (5), Electrical & Electronics (5), Computer Science (3), Civil (4), Chemical (4), Automobile (3), Photography (1).
• DCCP (60): Commercial & Computer Practice.
• Trade ITI (180): Fitter (75), Electrician (25), Electronic Mechanic (30), Chemical (15), Refrigeration & AC (10), Plumber/POCPM (5), Diesel Mechanic (5), Machinist (3), Turner (2), Welder (2), Draughtsman Mechanical (3), Draughtsman Civil (3), Motor Mechanic (2).

Reservation (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS) is applied category-wise as per the notification.

Eligibility

• Graduate (Engineering/Non-Engineering): first class with minimum 60% / 6.32 CGPA in the relevant discipline from a recognised university/institute.
• Technician (Diploma): first class with minimum 60% / 6.32 CGPA in the relevant discipline.
• Trade: SSLC/SSC + ITI/NTC in the relevant trade from NCVT.
• Vocational: vocational certificate in the relevant subject after higher secondary, recognised by AICTE.
• For Graduate and Diploma apprentices, the qualification should be passed in 2022 or later (as per notification).
• Candidates who have already completed/are undergoing apprenticeship training, or have 1 year+ experience, are not eligible.
• Indian citizens only. Training period: 12 months from execution of apprenticeship contract.

Selection Process

• Reservation as per Government of India norms, applied category-wise.
• Merit list prepared category-wise (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS) based on marks in the prescribed qualification for each trade/discipline.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification; only those who clear verification will be considered for apprenticeship.
• No TA/DA for document verification. Shared accommodation in SHAR residential colonies may be provided subject to availability.
• No claim for regular/temporary employment at SDSC SHAR or any ISRO/DOS centre after training.

How to Apply

1. Register on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) or the National Apprenticeship portal (apprenticeship.gov.in) and obtain your enrolment/registration number. Upload degree/diploma certificate and valid ID as required.
2. Ensure your Aadhaar is linked to your bank account and enabled for DBT.
3. Log in to the UMANG portal (web.umang.gov.in) → search “SDSC SHAR Apprenticeship” → apply for the post → fill details and upload supporting documents (10th/SSC, Intermediate, ITI, Diploma, Degree as applicable, in JPG/JPEG/PNG, max 1 MB).
4. Upload photo and scanned signature in the prescribed format; verify all data before submission (no changes allowed after submission).
